Role:Sales Director
Reporting to: Regional Director Coster USA & UK
Direct reports: Sales Manager
Salary & Benefits: 120k-140k + up to 20% bonus annually
Location: South Elgin, Illinois
Objective/Purpose: Responsible for the company’s growth, by getting new business with current clients and new business with new clients. Gather technical and commercial information on the market and work closely with the operations team to propose the best solutions for clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain fluid contact with customers
· Search new business and new customers
· Organize sales visits
· Support management of current Coster USA, Inc. customers
· Maintain accurate records of the commercial activities
· Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings
· Negotiate and align sales forecast per product with customers and inform this forecast to operations so arrangements can be done to meet customer expectations.
· Formulate sales budgets for different products.
· Formulate and propose sales policies, pricing, discounts, sales conditions, and product promotion.
· Achieve objectives with regards to sales volume, growth and negotiated profitability.
· Participate in the budget process and guarantee its achievement.
· Manage the different phases of the sales operation.
· Research new forms of product presentation.
· Ensure that customer complaints from his/her clients reaches quality department and responses lead time are met.
· Understands Coster’s portfolio and is able to discuss technical solutions customers.
· Develop and maintain market research updated (volumes, prices, local and regional participants).
· Identify opportunities for improvement and propose, execute, and control improvement plans related to sales department.
· Propose stock levels for his/her customers, to be negotiated and approved by Operations.
· Prepare regular reports for Regional Director.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills/Education:
· University degree in management with technical background
· Work experience in a similar position greater than 2 years, with personnel management (B2B business of technical products preferably, ideally packaging industry)
· Knowledge of safety standards and hygiene/quality standards, ISO Standards
· Desirable knowledge of plastic injection
· Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English (Italian is a plus)
· Valid Driver’s License
· Valid passport
· Knowledge of MS Office package (excel, power point, internet, outlook)
