Job Summary
This position will prospect, qualify, and generate opportunities to support the overall growth of the business by contacting Senior Executives and Marketing Managers at Marketing Agencies throughout the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts high volume prospecting (80-100 activities per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media from Gannett’s Lead Database.
- Fields inbound calls and converts them into prospects.
- Schedules marketing assessments and discovery meetings for Account Executives to further assess a prospect's business and potential for a partnership with Gannett.
- Conducts needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned.
- Learns how a variety of businesses operate, what challenges they face on a daily basis, and how
- technology can dramatically improve their businesses and employees' lives.
- Creates personal opportunities for growth by learning the necessary fundamentals to be a great salesperson, leader, and executive.
- Participates on the company’s cybersecurity incident response team to ensure timely and compliant handling of security incidents involving personal data.
- Education: High School diploma required. Associate degree or better preferred.
- Experience 1 to 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related field.
- Track record of high achievement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
- Ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis.
- Ability to excel in a remote work environment.
