Sales Development Representative (SDR)
We are seeking a driven, highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our rapidly growing SaaS fintech firm.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective clients in the lending industry through strategic cold calling and lead generation activities. Your primary focus will be on lenders who provide private, non-profit, and government loans and providing them with information about our loan management software used by over 8,000 daily users and over 1,300 organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Cold Calling and Lead Generation:
- Develop and execute a strategic cold calling plan to build a robust pipeline of qualified leads within the lending industry.
- Conduct thorough research on potential clients, including lenders offering private and government loans, to tailor your outreach efforts.
- Utilize effective prospecting techniques, including cold calls, emails, and social media outreach, to engage with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Identify and qualify potential opportunities by understanding the client's needs, pain points, and business challenges.
- Pipeline Management and Reporting:
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline of prospects and leads within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Track and report on key metrics, such as call volumes, connect rates, and conversion rates, to continuously optimize your approach.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads for further nurturing and closing.
- Product Knowledge and Industry Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS product offerings and how they can benefit lenders in the private and government loan sectors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices within the lending industry to provide relevant and valuable insights during conversations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the sales team, sharing insights and feedback to refine and improve the overall sales process.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and strategy discussions to contribute to the company's growth and success.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with prospects, colleagues, and stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Sales Development, lead generation, or inside sales role, preferably within the SaaS or financial services industries.
- Strong prospecting skills and a track record of successfully building pipelines through cold calling and outreach efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and familiarity with sales tools and technologies.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and qualify potential opportunities.
- Knowledge of the lending industry, particularly in the private and government loan sectors, is preferred.
- College education preferred but not mandatory.
