Sales Development Representative
Full Time
Concordia Publishing House, the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) is currently looking to hire a full-time Sales Development Representative. This position is responsible for initiating lasting, positive relationships through prospecting and contacting churches, educating them about CPH software solutions through calls, presentations, and demonstrations, and attaining sales for the solution that best fits their ministry needs. This role directly contributes to the sustainability of all CPH's mission-related actions.
Specific duties include:
- Manages the comprehensive sales process: prospecting, interest, consideration, decision, closing, and processing the resulting sales.
- Exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas to achieve departmental and product sales goals in support of CPH's sustainability.
- Assesses, adapts, and overcomes hurdles throughout the sales process.
- Identifies and makes outbound contact with daily targets for churches via emails, phone, and video calls.
- Achieves product demonstrations with qualified leads and maintains the designated close ratio for completed demonstrations in support of sales goals.
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the features and benefits of designated products (Church360°, Shepherd's Staff, eGiving, and related products) to best counsel churches.
- Ensures continued customer loyalty by following up with customers to gauge potential value in additional solutions or troubleshooting re-engagement when their subscription has the potential to end.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to successfully close sales via telephone, email, and live video
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (HubSpot experience preferred), web browsers, and web-based applications.
- Proactive with changes to improve customer service and internal operations.
- Growth-oriented, with a desire to continue to develop new sales skills and strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- 3+ years of sales experience, software sales experience preferred. LCMS background is helpful, but not mandatory.
