Job Overview:
Technical Sales Consultants have the responsibility for building account relationships within the Government / Prime Contractors Vertical Markets and understanding customer goals and key economic drivers. Our most successful Sales Consultants possess a tenacious desire to win and have the intellectual ability to create tailored, cost-effective solutions that positively impact our customers’ bottom line as well as Mechdyne’s. They are also responsible for ensuring revenue targets are achieved in the assigned vertical market while maximizing customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Maximize the profitability of the customer and Mechdyne by matching our technical and operational capability to meet the customer’s needs.
- Help the customer identify and understand unique perspectives which allow them to compete more effectively in their vertical market.
- Work directly with Economic, Technical, and User Influencers using domain-specific technologies to create a favorable environment for the introduction of new on-site teammates as well as a sense of satisfaction with existing Mechdyne solutions.
- Understand key drivers and goals of assigned customer accounts.
- Proactively prospect new opportunities within assigned customer accounts
- Have the ability to qualify new revenue generating opportunities to place people on-site.
- Ability to work with a technology team to help identify and provide technology requirements.
- Responsible for driving proposal/quote preparation.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned vertical market through the use of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Power Skills You'll Bring:
- Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Excellent business writing skills.
- Above average verbal communication skills and persuasiveness.
- Above average abilities with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
