We are inviting you to apply for ourCatering and Sales Adminposition. In this role, you will provide administrative support and systems management for the Sales and Catering teams. In addition, you will provide a pleasant, professional first impression of Kalahari Resorts Sales and Catering to new prospects and existing clients and assist with direct sales activities as needed.
We do require that you have a background, consisting of 1-3 years of administrative experience in a corporate business setting (preferably within the hotel/resort/hospitality industry), or experience in banquet operations or hotel front office is helpful.
Additional required skills include:
- Ability to understand sales booking systems, V1, CRM, and sales automation as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
- Must be comfortable working in a Windows operating systems environment.
- Knowledge of ADP is helpful
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by Associates, Supervisors, Department Heads, Senior Management, and guests.
- Must be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries, and forward appropriately guest complaints.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions and statistical analysis.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
- Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
