SalaryJob Description Cashier and Stocking Clerk
1. Counts opening tray to verify opening till amount usually about $250.00.
2. Logs into cashier register with his or her own cashier number.
3. Greets customers with a friendly greeting.
4. Enters sale of products using scanner or keyboard
5. Uses Price Look Up (PLU) code for non-scanning items.
6. Enters alternate prices for items marked for sale.
7. Issues “Rain Check” to customers for advertised items on in stock.
8. Work with customer to resolve their complaints or refer customer to store supervisor or manager on duty.
9. Bags customer purchase in corrugated card board boxes or shopping bags.
10. Cheerfully thanks the customer.
11. Starts up coffee service in the morning before store opens.
12. Puts up advertised special signs and other sale signs.
13. Takes customer's food orders over the phone or in persons and give to the kitchen.
Stocks merchandise as needed during a shift as requested by the store supervisor. Lifts regularly product case weighting 10 to 40 pounds regularly.
14. Uses stock trucks, pallet jacks, lifts, case cutters, hand trucks to do the job.
15. Faces products to make shelves looks full.
16. Rotates product to make first in first out to insure good quality and freshness.
17. Bring out and stocks overstocked items store on high shelves or in the back-storage area.
18. Dress appropriately in accordance to the company’s handbook.
19. Dust shelves and wipes down shelves.
20. Uses price marking gun to price merchandise with no UPC.
21. Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop the store and back rooms.
22. Reports missing shelf tags and assist putting tags back on.
23. Washes refrigeration cases, including walk-in beverage cases, stand up freezers, portable roll around refrigerated freezers.
24. Sweeps the outside area in front, sides, and back of the store.
25. Packs various bakery goods bought from local bakeries.
26. Clean the bathroom including the toilet, hand sink, mirror, lights, floors, and towel and toilet paper dispensers.
27. Flattens corrugated cardboard boxes and dispose along the store trash into trash bin located outside of store.
28. Maintains good hygiene as all times.
29. Comes to work in company uniform and wears name tags.
30. Member of a team that cares for customers and other working team members.
Store Supervisor's Duties:
31. Opens and closes store. Enters and departs store simultaneously with the team.
32. Turns on or off online Alert Alarm system.
33. Turns on or off appropriate store lights.
34. Sets up cashiers to open the store.
35. Checks and balances the store's vault.
36. Closes the store's POS daily sales report
37. Ensure the store is safe for the public.
38. Check restrooms for cleanliness, tidiness, operations, and sanitation.
39. Assists in training staff on daily operations and kindly informs team members who are not compliant with company's operating procedures.
40. Intercedes with customers that need additional customer service.
41. Listens carefully to customer complaints and resolves complaints or escalates to assistant manager, store manager, or senior company management.
42. Make's Accident and Police reports as needed, gets written testimonies from witnesses, reports exact time of incidents for video cameras inside or outside of store.
41. Assists in end of month accounting reports to be send to accountants for review and entry.
42. Is training in first aid including, AED, CPR, and first aid. Provides first aid to a person when needed.
40. Provides compassionate and friendly service to customers and fellow team members. Promotes a friendly and cooperative work environment to the store's team.
