Job Description
Responsible for the coverage, retention, development and growth of business volume and customer satisfaction of a specific group of customers within an assigned territory. Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) employees are to be guided in their duties, responsibilities and actions by company policy and will apply sound business judgment at all times.
Key Job Responsibilities
- PSSR responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain profitable, long-term business relationships and parts and service sales in assigned territory.
- Obtain accurate and adequate credit information on all accounts and assist in collection of past due accounts receivable.
- Achieve market goals and objectives on all products.
- Ensure sales paperwork is processed.
- Clearly communicate manufacturer’s warranty on all sales and/or rentals.
- Submit parts and service contract proposals as deemed appropriate.
- Furnish timely and accurate customer business activity, sales lead progress and market intelligence information to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or other data base, or location as may be applicable.
- Cooperate with other staff and share leads with other PSSRs in the Company.
- Participate in customer meetings.
- Assist in promotional activities benefiting the Company.
- Actively follow a program of education in salesmanship, products of the Company, and technical and other matters relating to the performance of their selling duties; participate in such training activities as may be scheduled.
- Report to management any significant information which might affect the Company; and assist in such manner as is, from time-to-time, required by management.
- Prepare and present New Machine Delivery Books to customers within 10 days of each machine sale.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be able to apply the seven principles to their everyday work activities where applicable.
- Strong commitment to safety in all aspects of postion and with each internal and external customers and employees.
- At least 10 years of experience in the equipment or related industry with direct product support and sales experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills to independetnly handle diverse business needs of varied improtance, including the proper treatment of confidential information.
- Effective interpersonal communitcation skills and ability to procure cooperation of team members.
