The Opportunity - Job Summary:
Our Sales and Administrative Support Specialist will be a member of the company's Sales team supporting our Sales group primarily, but also other parts of the organization as needed. In addition, this position will serve as the receptionist for our new lab/office in the Philadelphia area. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within the Sales function and be part of a growing organization. This is a hybrid position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform various sales support and lead generation tasks to acquire and retain customers.
Work with customers to ensure a smooth sales process. Ensure orders are processed, shipped, and tracked. Trouble shoot issues and respond to customer inquiries.
Perform data entry for sales results, trends, metrics, and other relevant information. Enter and maintain customer information in customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Identify prospects and potential customers by reviewing customer leads which are provided by the company. Evaluate potential opportunities and route qualified leads to the appropriate Sales professional. Assist with making phone calls and emails to prospective customers and following up on leads.
Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from company website, and route to appropriate party.
Keep front desk and reception area organized and clean. Manage meeting room availability.
Sign for deliveries and ensure mail and packages are distributed accordingly. Order office supplies.
Maintain supply of marketing collateral - literature, promotional items, trade show/display equipment. Coordinate shipping material and equipment to show locations.
Schedule meetings and help coordinate department and company-wide meetings, activities, and events.
Requirements:
Previous experience and success interfacing with customers.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport quickly.
Experience synthesizing, analyzing, and summarizing data.
Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Previous experience utilizing a CRM (desired).
