SafetyTraining Instructor - Eastern (Mount Pearl, NL) About the Role This role will start at the beginning of March 2024, with an estimated end date of July 31, 2024. The roll will be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. You will be provided camp accomadations with meals.
Responsibilities Instruct students on the various training programs offered Complete and submit appropriate course documentation accurately and efficiently Assist with developing course material and information manuals, reference materials, lesson plans, presentations and promotional packages as required Maintain safety certifications and training in accordance with HSE standards Ensure that an adequate supply of course material is available Ability to learn and teach HSE specific courses Assist Station Manager as requested Education and Certifications Certified to instruct the following courses under WorkPlaceNL: Fall Protection Power Line Hazards Saint John Ambulance Certified Instructor Emergency First Aid Meets CSA Standard Z121017 Basic Standard First Aid Meets CSA Standard Z121017 Intermediate Respirator Fit Testing Meets CSA Z94.4-18 You will be required to have: A valid, unrestricted Drivers Licence A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months Experience Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Occupational Health and Safety with successful completion of a recognized post-secondary program Three years of oilfield experience with previous construction and safety experience Possess a good understanding of all applicable provincial safety legislations Competent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office applications and the ability to operate audio/visual equipment Other Details This job posting communicates the top priorities for success and does not reflect the entire role; a complete job description will be provided to those in the final interview process.We welcome all qualified candidates to apply, the diversity of our workforce reflects the communities we serve.Professional references may be required from former hiring manager(s) and former supervisor(s).
