The Safety Technician provides direct care to the patients and participates in the management of the community and the therapeutic milieu.  This position requires providing service to patients across all age ranges in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional /developmental age of the individual served.  The individual will act with an increased level of critical thinking to successfully triage new patients as well as successfully triage new admissions.  The individual will also interact as main point of contact for new patients, visitors, and family members in the Crisis Response Center (CRC).

High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years of experience in human service field. Prefer bachelor’s degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, or human growth & development. EMT Certification preferred.
