The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator I (Working Title: Safety Program Coordinator for the Office of NC Center for Safer Schools
The NC Center for Safer Schools is responsible for addressing the problem of school and youth-related violence and serve as a customer-focused information center for research, training, and technical assistance related to school safety, crisis prevention and response.
This position is responsible for performing programmatic and administrative tasks in developing, implementing, and managing programs designed to effectively address school safety needs.
The Safety Program Coordinator is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing school safety application programs. Supporting public school units in their implementation and usage of statewide systems to include anonymous reporting system and panic alarm. In this role, they will coordinate with training and programmatic section of the CFSS.
This position will also work in conjunction with the executive director on managing advisory boards and committees that support the CFSS. To include lead in the planning of these meetings and ensuring that information is disseminated to members.
?In this position, they will collaborate with vendors and other external stakeholders in school safety, to ensure that legislative requirements are met.? Work is performed under the supervision of the CFSS Executive Director.
