Your Impact Starts the Day You Do!
Bring your passion for EH&S to our HNI Workplace Furnishings Operations team as our new Safety Coordinator. In this role, you will drive member engagement, improve communications, track and report safety training and incidents, and improve compliance by implementing member-driven initiatives.
Each Day You Will:
- Manage and support members on any workplace injury through Intelex.
- Partner with the injury Management Specialist.
- Orient and meet members to create a collaborative environment for safety issues/questions.
- Participate in daily Safety Meetings and Rapid Continuous Improvement events.
- Make sure everyone gets the safety messages and training they need.
- Work with the HNI Safety Team to share what works well and make sure everyone is on the same page.
- Partner with HR and Risk Management teams to drive safety improvement, leading to a reduction in future worker compensation claims.
- Drive safety compliance and use current software/systems in use by the Safety Department (HumanTech, SharePoint, Safety Manager Database, Gallagher Bassett, EASE, Asset Essentials, Power BI, etc.)
What You Bring:
- Prior experience in a safety or environmental role.
- Relevant degree in a related field.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in Safety and environmental practices through strong problem-solving and communication skills.
