The Safety Analyst supports Safety & Security function ensuring that Safety procedures and systems are implemented as defined by Newrest’s requirements and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit a proactive attitude by identifying areas where assistance is needed and taking the initiative to provide support.
- Perform data entry with precision and accuracy.
- Oversee tracking of on-the-job injury and other general administrative duties, including but not limited to update injury log, Fl‘Icare etc.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the department.
- Audit of safety points assessed to drivers and pull data upon safety manager, transportation manager, HR request.
- Management of recurrent training scheduling for failed audits.
- Responsible for capturing corrective actions issued by safety, completed write ups coming from transportation
- Liaison between safety and HR
- Maintain and partner with Transportation on scheduling of driver certifications for helpers to drivers, drivers getting certified by type of AC (WB, NB, Express)
- Pull reports on audits for WOR analysis
- Manage Safety Audit stats and % to goal completion
- Manage schedule/vacation schedule for safety auditors
- May cover for Safety Supervisors on vacation and will need to change shifts in the event of vacation coverage for another supervisor.
- Develop, review, and maintain documentation related to safety matters
- Assist management during Incident and accident Investigations.
- Pursue continuous improvement in safety monitoring and recordkeeping / data management systems to ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist Management to ensure all permits, certificates, licenses, and invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
- Support compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, industry, and company requirements (OSHA, HAS, COH, FAA, CBP)
- Bilingual in Spanish a big plus.
- High-level mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Detail-orientated.
- Knowledge of Airline Catering Operation (Preferred).
