Position Purpose
Position is responsible for performing guest reservation (i.e. check-in and out), on the KOA system. Responsibilities also include the store point of sale transactions, day to day store operation and general housekeeping duties. This position requires interaction with guests therefore; strong customer service skills are required.
This position requires that the employee be available to work weekends, Holidays and evenings. Hours are based on seasonal periods with varying requirements based on volume and weather. May have periods where less than full time employment is offered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain counters, tables, chairs, floors, restrooms, and showers to ensure cleanliness for guests and employees.
• Clean windows of main buildings and wax, mop or vacuum floors as needed.
• Empty and clean receptacles and ashtrays.
• Provide cleaning services to all office areas.
• Remove trash, seal bags, and place in dumpster.
• Advise supervisor of supplies that need replenishment.
• Provide grounds maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude at all times with guests and staff.
• Perform other cleaning assignments as directed by supervisor and/or management.
• Maintain a cooperative, positive and friendly attitude towards customers and co-workers, which exemplifies the Feather Falls and KOA commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Wear the KOA uniform at all times when on duty, insuring that it is clean with your nametag present and clearly displayed.
• Use the appropriate guidelines and procedures for the handling of registration, reservations and refunds using the Koa computer system.
• Follow the proper procedures for cash handling and credit card charges and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card and various other front desk equipment as outlined in the Feather Falls/ KOA operations manual.
• Promote casino and local attractions, as well as, the KOA Value Kard™ sales system. Encourage referrals to other KOA campgrounds and stay current on the national and local advertising and discount programs for the campground, store and other income areas.
• Handle the daily, weekly and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by the Campground Manager or Supervisor.
• Quickly resolve customer complaints within the positions authority level, making sure issues that are beyond that level and brought to the attention of the Campground Manager or Supervisor as soon as possible for prompt resolve.
• Attend to campers specific needs at the campsite, i.e. provide instruction on how to hook up power, attach water supply hose to camper, how to connect TV lines, start barbeque, etc.
• Conduct routine spot checks of restrooms, showers, general store and recreational room and clean as necessary.
• Clean windows of main buildings and wax, mop or vacuum floors.
• Empty the building trash receptacles as required.
• Fill Propane tanks as required.
• Conform to and comply with the general policies as outlined in the Feather Falls employee handbook.
• When necessary make contact with emergency services for guest or employee accidents or illnesses.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Camp Ground Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. This position requires strong customer service skills along with enough computer literacy to quickly learn the KOA reservation, registration credit card and point of sale programs and functions.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; or three to six months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar field.
Language Skills
This position requires the ability to read and use a combination of technical and non-technical information in a manner that will allow for the correct use of the computer, point of sale and office equipment. This position requires the ability to convey a wide variety of information positively to a large demographic customer base.
Reasoning Ability
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or twostep instructions is required. Ability to deal with standardized situations with the occasional or no variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid Driver’s License may be required
Certification to supply propane (training and certification provided by employer)
