he College of Medicine's Office of Research and PRISMAP collabora ive is seeking a Research Adminis ra ion Manager. he Research Adminis ra ion Manager will be a senior member of he eam, possessing an advanced unders anding of processes, procedures, and policies.
Essen ial Func ions;
Research Adminis ra ion Suppor (Pre- and Pos - Award)
Regularly applies comprehensive knowledge of he sponsored projec lifecycle. May independen ly loca e sources of ou side funding and serve as he liaison for o her campus office coordina ion (DSP, C&G, e c). Independen ly manages he pre-award process (e.g., coordina ion and prepara ion of necessary documen a ion; prepares budge s; applica ions; repor s; financial s a emen s) and/or independen ly manages he pos -award process (e.g., reconcilia ion, in ernal and ex ernal financial repor ing) and moni ors awards received. Independen ly nego ia es projec budge s wi h ex ernal sponsors. Independen ly prepares sponsor repor s and ensures all documen s mee agency and Universi y guidelines. Advises Principal Inves iga or on bes prac ices o achieve an effec ive, quali y proposal and/or pos -award managemen (e.g., forecas ing). Serves as lead projec manager for he cen er and sponsor inquiries rela ed o research adminis ra ion.
May assemble ma erials for pre- and pos -award compliance applica ions (e.g., human subjec s, animals). May review complex sponsor guidelines such as accura e in erpre a ion of solici a ion requiremen s for applica ion wi h Universi y policies. May be responsible for recognizing and/or in erpre ing complex agreemen charac eris ics and manage as needed (e.g., FAR clauses, indus ry res ric ions, agreemen accep ance reques s).
Financial/Accoun ing
Will provide accoun ing suppor (e.g., journal en ries, vouchers, non-pod's). Provide Principal Inves iga or wi h moni oring reconcilia ion of gran s and con rac s o ensure expenses are being paid according o con rac . Prepare mon hly and yearly budge projec ions and plans for managemen approval for a modera e number of projec gran s. Crea e, main ain and reconcile de ailed budge s and ake correc ive ac ions when necessary. Review ransac ions and resolve issues ha require a more complex level of financial unders anding such as cos - sharing and/or effor repor ing knowledge. Develop complex projec budge per sponsor requiremen s/guidelines. Crea e mul i-year budge s for complex projec s.

Expec ed Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 Annually
Minimum Requiremen s:
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in gran and con rac adminis ra ion; or an equivalen combina ion of educa ion and experience.
Preferred Qualifica ions:
Working knowledge of UFirs and experience wi h a wide range of gran ing agencies (NSF, NIH, Founda ion, and o her Na ional, S a e and local agencies) and respec ive por als as needed.
•Knowledge of federal, s a e, universi y, college, and depar men al financial procedures, rules, and regula ions regarding budge s, expendi ures, gran s, and cos accoun ing.
•Knowledge of accoun ing and audi ing principles.
•Knowledge of 2 CFR 200.
•Advance knowledge of PeopleSof , En erprise Repor ing, Query S udio, and Microsof Office Applica ions OneS ream, budge design, financial planning, and repor ing.
