Job Title: Manager, Pension and Retirement Contract Administration

Location: Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid)

Role Summary:

The Manager, Pension and Retirement Contract Administration is responsible for much of the day-to-day oversight of the Document and Plan Record Administration and Documents Issuance departments, including their teams, and for deliverables. The Manager will oversee most of the Document and Plan Record Administration and Documents Issuance departments in the Home Office as well as in the Boca Raton Office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of NAV Trusteed plans, Group Annuity plans, Amendments, Group Annuity Contracts/Certificates and Riders, and Summary Plan Descriptions.
  • Plan and Contract interpretive rulings
  • Training and development of the teams
  • Respond to Regional and Home Office questions regarding general plan administration
  • Provide guidance, direction, and pension design alternatives to personnel in Marketing and other divisions to aid in meeting the objectives of clients and prospects
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Law, State Compliance, Loans, Actuarial, Billing, Employer Records to keep abreast of new Pension and state legislations and to ensure documents issued are in compliance, and system development requests conform to regulatory requirements
  • Drafting departmental policies and procedures
  • Administrator for Relius Documents system
  • Managing special projects, such as plan restatements, compliance amendment mailings and annual 5 year SPD projects
  • Ensure goals are within budget and timeline
  • Provide Business Continuity support to the operation of the Document and Plan Record Administration and Document Issuance departments where employees in this position must be available at all times, at the discretion of management, to perform their job functions including, but not limited to, the event of a potential storm or other emergency situation
  • Other projects as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Salesforce
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage large volumes of work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize projects and work independently
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the retirement services industry
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Relius Documents and Relius Exchange systems or familiarity with other plan document systems
  • Accreditations from CEBs, LOMA or other industry related training programs
