This opportunity as a Roving Plant Operator includes traveling to different plant locations around the New Richmond, Wisconsin plants for concrete batching, facilities management, plant cleanup, and plant mixer cleaning.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Production of ready mixed concrete within specifications, and within parameters of maximum plant production capacity per company and manufacturers specifications - make sure drivers are loaded timely to meet customer needs.
- Communicate with dispatch - shipping / loading orders and changes.
- Order raw materials such as cement, fly ash, chemical admixtures, and aggregates through coordination with the Materials Manager.
- Maintain adequate and cost-effective inventory levels of all products.
- Perform various quality control functions i.e. moisture checks, slump tests, air entrainment tests and temperature tests that are congruent to company standards.
- Perform end of day cleanup at batch plant.
- Perform various plant maintenance tasks such as greasing, adjustments, cleaning bag houses and venting systems, shoveling and plant system checks.
- Assist in maintenance of computerized batching equipment, material handling and color computers.
- Perform daily paperwork, including production reports as required.

- Other duties as assigned by the central-southern division manager.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT Medical Card and CDL Class A or B
- Aggregate Production and Plant 1 certification a plus
- Knowledgeable and ability to operate computerized batching equipment and be MS Windows proficient subject to proficiency test.
