Job Description
Rotary Recovery is seeking an Program Director for their outpatient substance use treatment program in Northbrook, IL. The program provides PHP, IOP, and OP services to adults (18+).
The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, overall operations, management, and success of the facility. Responsible for ensuring an atmosphere of effective, high quality customer service, and promoting a dignified and professional treatment environment for clients and staff.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the leadership and administration of all facility operations.
- Establishes and executes a strategic plan to promote program growth and respond to changes in marketplace.
- Directly supervise Clinical Director and other management staff capable of critical thinking, strong employee relations, and effective teamwork.
- Responsible for the fiscal management of the programs, including management of revenue, expenses, and adhering to budgeted guidelines.
- Planning and budgeting of all facility services in conjunction with the governing authority.
- Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for all staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring of staff, and delineation and assignment of staff duties.
- Leading and participating in staff orientation and staff education activities, when applicable.
- Positively promoting of organizational culture to all staff, clients, and the community.
- Development, oversight, and management of relationships with all referral sources, which include EAPs, Unions, trade organizations, etc.
- Ensure policies and procedures are current with all regulatory requirements. Maintain exemplary performance with respect to contract specifications, and licensing and accreditation standards.
- Ensure all management personnel are thoroughly knowledgeable in all policies and procedures, licensing, contracts, and accreditation standards.
- Leads and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
- Strictly adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information or copies of information. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time.
- Maintains adequate knowledge of the programs’ emergency preparedness plan and emergency procedures; and assist with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
- Maintains a highly interactive relationship with the organization support services, as well as external stakeholders, and carries out related assignments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Program Director shall meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree preferred in either social work, counseling, human services, business administration, or closely related field.
- Three years of management and/or supervisory experience in a mental health or substance use treatment environment required.
- Strong leadership background with demonstrated results managing organizations.
- Strong experience with for-profit substance use treatment facilities including those primarily funded by commercial insurance products and/or cash pay preferred.
- Experience in start-up environments is preferred.
- Experience working with state licensing requirements and accreditation standards preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
