This position is for managing projects relating to installation of roofing, siding, and window installs. You MUST have experience in these trades to be successful in this position.
The Project Manager (PM) is a key member of the production team and is a direct report to the Production Supervisor (PS). As Project Manager, you will oversee field production, OSHA compliance, install quality and accuracy while creating the best possible building/remodeling experience for our clients. You will be the customer point of contact during construction, and will support the Sales team and sub-contractors in the seamless execution of projects in a timely manner. The PM is ultimately responsible for the customer’s satisfaction and install quality.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and move equipment
- Assist crews as needed
- Know the appropriate course of action for each job status; confirm that timelines are accurate, and deadlines are being met
- Thoroughly document information in CRM
- Responsible for the safety on jobsite; including all employees for the company and any other employers near the jobsite
- Track tool and inventory. Monitor equipment checked out to installers. Maintain orderly trailers and warehouse
Conduct inventory control on warehouse
- Assist in mid and end of year inventory counts.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections at each jobsite
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss schedules, performance and issues with projects
- Lead/Manage/Hold Accountable all installers to insure policies and procedures are understood and followed
Pre Construction:
- Perform pre inspection of jobs to insure accuracy of materials and work orders
- Schedule Pre Construction Meetings (internal and external) with homeowner, sales person and lead installers
- Review material list for accuracy
- Create a detailed scope of work order for installers and review with the lead installer at the beginning of the job.
- Document job with photos and notes
- Stage jobsite with require equipment and/or materials
- Ensure Jobsite delivery accuracy and products are free of defects or reorder in a timely manner
During Construction:
- Continually communicate with the client to ensure satisfaction
- Communicate schedule expectations with all stakeholders (homeowners, subs and fellow staff)
- Report and Resolve client construction issues with Production Supervisor in a timely manner
- Conduct jobsite inspection - check in with homeowner and installers throughout the progression of the job
- Manage installers behavior and insure all Fortified policies and procedure are being followed
- Monitor install for any out of scope work. Create scope of work and estimate for all change orders needed and have reviewed by Production Supervisor
- Document job with photos and Daily Logs in CRM
- Check safety and cleanliness on job site
- Verify and maintain compliance with local and national codes as adopted by the City and County
Post Construction:
- Perform Final inspection to insure quality
- Manage the completion of all punch list items in accordance with company policy procedures
- Close out jobs following job closeout procedure
Homeowner satisfaction sign off. Debriefing to sales
