Design, develop, test, integration, and installation of electrical and fluid power, components, or systems for industrial use. Works with reasonable independence at the subassembly or system level. Requires minimal supervision. Duties and responsibilities for the position of Robot Programmer/technician
- Take direction from project team to develop a comprehensive robotic application that meets specific project requirements
- Work with simulation software, electrical mechanisms, machinery, general assembly and general physics
- Properly organize and structure programming to make it understandable to all experienced programmers
- Be aware and follow all laws and regulations governing safety for industrial robotic applications.
- Perform field service as required on equipment in our and customers facilities
- Interpret all specification and standards, SpenTech and customers.
- Develop Robot programs and documentation.
- Assist with training additional robot personnel.
- Develop department personnel and procedures to assure company goals are achieved.
- Assist in the selection of components and systems.
- Perform comparative analysis of designs and drawings, to ensure conformance to SpenTech and customer standards, specification and good engineering practices.
- Ensure that designs and purchased components will function and perform their intended tasks.
- Understand and follow all customer requirements for robot hardware and software.
- Assist project team members with concepts and quoting as requested.

- BSEE degree and a minimum of 4-8 years of pertinent experience
- Demonstrated design creativity and the ability to operate independently
- Demonstrated proficiency in Robot programming for Fanuc, ABB and KUKA robots.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Able to lift 30 lbs, install subsystems into process equipment, and make adjustments within equipment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be a self-starting, "hands-on” engineer with the ability to function with minimal supervision
- Must be able to quickly adapt project activities in response to fast-changing priorities
