Hours: Monday Friday on Second shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM)
About the job:
Reporting to the shift supervisor, the Robot Machine Operator is responsible for performing a variety of intricate assembly operations required to produce precise products. This job requires reading and understanding detailed written manufacturing procedures, performing delicate assembly operations by hand, or using machines and tools at various work center. All assembly, safety, and inspection requirements must be followed and achieved in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with posted schedules and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting, Grinding, Drilling, Tamping, Shaping, Soldering
- Operate production line machinery, hand tools and computers.
- Perform equipment changeovers and set-ups.
- Perform in-process quality inspections. Make necessary adjustments to produce within specifications.
- Rejects products outside specifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures and job safety analysis.
- Complete daily production logs.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- May be asked to assist maintenance personnel in repair work.
- May be asked to help provide on-the-job training to new employees.
Required:
- HS diploma. Ideally an apprenticeship or trade school certificate.
- 2+ years of manufacturing assembly line experience.
- Familiarity with machinery and hand tools.
- Must communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
- Must have experience reading and understanding written instructions, specifications and technical drawings.
- Ability to read small scales and measuring instruments.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable being on feet much of the work day, very likely 80% of the time.
