DESCRIPTION

The Roadway Design Engineer will provide project active leadership for the successful delivery of roadway projects within our Ridgeland, MS office.   We are looking for a candidate possessing strong verbal and written skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead design efforts on transportation projects. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated success in the delivery of roadway projects. Specific leadership characteristics will include:

  • Desire to be responsible for developing design plans, variations and exceptions, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the design of specific roadway tasks
  • Willingness to help create and foster a team environment
  • Assistance in marketing pursuits by developing concepts, and providing technical support on letters of responses
  • Experience with MDOT on traditional design bid-build projects and/or design-build highway projects

 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of related experience
  • BSCE in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer in Mississippi or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Proficient with Bentley Open Roads
  • Experience with MDOT on roadway projects

COMPENSATION 

The approximate compensation range for this position is $64,325 to $102,376. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
