Job Description
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Perform engineering design including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Preparing of project documentation including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Package, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.
- Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Directing and mentoring less-experienced support staff.
- Supporting business development efforts including proposal pursuit efforts.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six (6) months
- Minimum of 4 years of transportation roadway design experience
- FDOT and/or Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise Experience (desired)
- Proficiency in Bentley’s MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
