What We're Looking For: 

BargeDesign Solutions is currently seeking to fill the position of RoadwayEngineer-in-Training (EIT) in our Atlanta, Birmingham, Miramar Beach, andPanama City Beach locations. 

Responsibilitiesfor this position include:

• Assistsin the design of a variety of roadway project types including urban streets,rural highways, bridge replacements, sidewalks and trails, complexinterchanges, roundabouts and intersection improvements
• Collaborateswith project team members, client representatives, review agencies to helpresolve a variety of complex problems
• Assistsin the analysis, preparation or modification of technical reports, drawings,plans, specifications and permits for projects
• Usescomputer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepareengineering and design documents
• Participatesin project site visits with other project team members, as needed
• Demonstratesstrong attention to detail
• Ableto learn Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures
• Ableto learn standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm, preferablywithin the A/E industry
• Performsother duties as requested

 Education & Experience Qualifications: 

• Bachelor'sDegree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accreditedprogram
• 0to 4 years of Roadway Design experience. Prior internship experience is a plus
• EITCertification in respective state, or an ability to obtain EIT in respectivestate within 6 months of start date, is required
• Experienceusing MicroStation V8i and Inroads is a plus. OpenRoads experience is a plus
• Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents
• Knowledgeof Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
• Stronginterpersonal/communication skills
• Abilityto work and learn in a fast-paced collaborative team atmosphere with anestablished group of surveyors, engineers, scientists, and administrative staff
