COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pharmaceutical or 1 shot of Pharmaceutical; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. Surgical Techs scrub. RN's are not required to scrub but this would be a PLUS if they can. " Ratios 1 to 1 EMR Currently using Cerner - Switching to Epic OpTime in June Charge Nurse The OR has a Clinical Manager is the direct report for the OR team, facilitates schedules, moves cases, etc. Weekend Requirement - RN's Weekends/call is only every 7th weekend. Staff usually split their weekend by working Sunday from 7am - 3:30pm. Off Monday, work Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, off Friday, then work Saturday 7am - 3:30pm then call from home until Monday morning. Weekend Requirement - CST's This will be changing so will need this info when the time comes Call Requirement - RN's 1 team is on call/day. Currently working 9am - 5:30 pm, then on call until 7 am the next day - even if they are schedule to work the next day. Call Requirement - CST's Same as RN's What is call response time? 45 min response Holidays 24 hour call; however, you don't physically come on-site - only come in if called in Scrub Color/ Provided Scrubs are provided Tele Yes Vents Yes/ Anesthesia Surgeon on call hours Rotate Monthly call RT 24/7 RT is in-house 24/7 Pharmacy 24/7 "Pharmacy is in-house 24/7 Currently have Pyxis but switching to Omnicell June 2021 " Shifts "Shifts are all 8's: 7am - 3:30pm - If staff have a ""2"" by their name on the schedule, this means there will be 2 OR 's still running at 3:30pm. The ""2's"" will stay until those cases are done. 9am - 5:30pm - If staff have a ""1"" by their name on the schedule, they will not be assigned to a specific room until 3pm. They do breaks. If staff have an ""L"" by their name on the schedule. If there are 3 rooms running the ""L's"" stay late. They plan to have 3 rooms running late but they don't always have cases run late. The 3rd team/room leaves first, then the 2nd team/room " Floating No floating outside of the OR Floor specific orientation OR educator - policies on scrubbing, etc., 2 shifts with a preceptor Common types of cases "Inpatient & outpatient (SDS): ORTHO - Total joints (hips/knees), sports medicine, hand, shoulder, ortho spine (backs & necks) GENERAL SURGERY - Laparoscopic Procedures - gallbladder, hernias, colon resections VASCULAR - Carotids, FemPops UROLOGY - Cysto, stent insertion, ureteroscopy, penile prothesis ENT - Sinus procedures, thyroid, laryngoscopy ENDO (GI) - The have 2 rooms - currently using 1 - gastroscope, colonoscopies, etc. - (OR Techs do not go here but RN's could - it's not hard) GYN * EYES - cataracts ***No cranies, No hearts, No robotics*** *** MUST HAVE: Ortho, General, & Urology ***"
