Director of Nursing
Full Time
United Methodist Communities is currently seeking Director of Nursing for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.
The Director of Nursing provides caring and compassionate leadership for the United Methodist Communities.
Requirements for a Director of Nursing:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, (RN) diploma.
- 3 - 5 years of supervisory in long term care.
- New Jersey RN license and membership of NADONA, NJ.
Responsibilities for a Director of Nursing:
- Monitors care in accordance with all Regulations (Federal, State, Local, MDS/RAI/OBRA, OSHA). Completes key indicator review, analysis - falls, wounds, psychotropic medication management, wts, pain, assessments. Performs incident report review/analysis/follow through.
- Responsible for HC Budget preparation and analysis. Monitors HC equipment, ie: maintenance of broken, calibration needs, etc.
- Drives person centered care, clinical initiatives. Implements/leads standing committees, ie: wound rounds, restorative rounds.
- Drives niche development. Oversees COMS assessments.
- Attends care planning. Active in QAPI process.
- Monitors staffing levels. Actively available to families, residents, staff.
- Provides leadership in regards to clinical survey preparedness, actual survey, plan of correction participation, implement of POC.
- Has responsibilities of hiring, on-boarding, coaching/developing, disciplinary action, terminating.
