The RN Case & Utilization Management Manager shall manage the daily operations and functions for Case Management and Coordination activities keeping within the framework of the mission, values, and vision of Baptist Health. This individual shall administer policies and operational procedures necessary to coordinate the resources needed for utilization review and case management denial management. Additionally, the Manager shall be responsible for allocation and management of human resources in assigned departments. The Manager will coordinate care of patients through collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other health professionals. The position facilitates efficient utilization of resources; optimize clinical and financial outcomes; while promoting physician, patient and employee satisfaction. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed.

  • Degree in Nursing, Master's degree preferred.
  • Two to three years experience in case management required, two to three years hospital-based experience as a Case Manager preferred.
  • Knowledge of community health care and socioeconomic resources. 
  • Two to three years experience with JCAHO, and third party payor requirements preferred.
  • Active RN license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Knowledge of generally accepted hospital policies and procedures
