Job description

Position Overview:

Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Risk Management Division is currently seeking a Risk Policy Manager who will be responsible for managing program elements of policy framework and governance methodology, including supporting the Corporate Policy and Standard lifecycle (policy issuance/reviews, publication, maintenance activities, reporting, etc.) and coordination of communication/training related to corporate policies and standards. Our Impact:

  • Develop the enterprise-wide governance methodology for Corporate Policies and Standards
  • Owns the implementation processes for all Corporate Policies and Standards policies, including oversight and reporting of adherence with policy requirements
  • Build-out of new policies and standard workflow tool and support tools, guidance, job-aids, etc.
  • Maintenance of policies and standard tools including SharePoint sites, Inventory, etc.

Your Impact:

  • Establishing, supporting, and implementing corporate policies and standard governance structure
  • Coordinating with corporate policies and standard approval authorities and control points across the company
  • Reviewing policies and standards for adherence and alignment with Enterprise Risk Framework, Risk Taxonomy, and the internal governance policies and standards
  • Oversight and validation of the issuance, exception/extension, supplemental guidance, adherence attestation, and gap assessment process execution
  • Developing corporate policies and standard communications and training activities
  • Develops and provides regular status reporting and tracking reports for senior leadership
  • Change management execution for policies and standard processes and inventory
  • Other cross-functional department duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College degree; advanced studies/degree (Compliance, Risk Management, Public Policy) preferred
  • 5+ years of proven experience preferably in risk, compliance, and/or corporate governance practices, and the functions of a three lines of risk management structure
  • Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and/or corporate governance practices, and the functions of a three lines of risk management structure
  • Knowledge of the enterprise risk framework, policy development, and risk governance

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $134,000 - $200,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
