Position Overview: AKAM is seeking a Risk Manager with experience in Commercial Condo/Coop Habitational Insurance to assist the Director of Risk Management overseeing insurance on 500 Properties in NY & FLA. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing coverages, explain and make recommendations as needed
- Work with Insurance Brokers, Property Managers, Condo/Coop Boards, internal team and others on insurance issues
- Phone & Video meetings with above for all aspects insurance related; coverage discussion, claims handling, renewal marketing & presenting, etc
- Some Virtual Board meetings in evenings
Qualifications:
- Public Speaking ability a must to present to Condo/Coop Board virtually
- Ability to understand, analyze, and research different lines of insurance
- Detail oriented with good mathematical and communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Required Experience:
- P&C Licensed
- Required Experience: Minimum 5-7 years with Condo/Coop Habitational lines servicing experience
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
- Required Travel: Negligible
