Aboutthe Role
As a Risk & Control Manager, you'llprovide Risk and Control oversight across Drax's Pellets operations in NorthAmerica (US & Canada). You'll advise, co-ordinate and report on the riskmanagement activities including the maintenance of a Pellets risk register. You'llchallenge the completeness and accuracy of data within the risk register toensure the resulting analysis of changes in the business' risks is robust andrepresentative. This will drive the commercial and financial understanding ofrisks within the business and help to ensure that they are being managedappropriately by the ultimate risk owners. You will also undertake the role ofsecretary of the Pellets Risk Management Committee.
Additionally, you'll design and embed a robustframework of key financial controls across Drax's Pellets operations and ensureall activities conducted are compliant with external statutory & regulatoryrequirements and internal organisational policies.
As a part of this role, you'llalso facilitate the planned migration from Netsuite and Azzier to MicrosoftD365 ensuring the design and implementation of automated key financialcontrols.
Collaborationwill be critical to succeeding in this role, and you'll work with a range ofstakeholders across the group, including risk owners and managers, theExecutive VP, the VP of Finance, Director of Finance and Group Head ofFinancial Control. Being an independent contributor role, you'll maintain abalance between leading discussions with key stakeholders whilst being hands-onto implement the plans as well.
This role requires regular travel between oursites in the United States and Canada. However, we are deeply committed toensuring you have the flexibility you need to do your best work, whether that'sat home or in an office.
AboutYouAs an ideal candidate you'll have a university degree with specialisedqualification in accountancy or risk. You'll have working knowledge andextensive experience in assessmentof policies and standards, risk scoring, assessment of the design and operatingeffectiveness of mitigating controls and recommending improvements to controldesign.
You'll have specific experience in internalcontrols, internal audit and /or risk related roles.
In addition to your technical know how, your communication,project management skills and stakeholder relationship management would helpyou succeed in this role.

Salary Range: CAD $94,600- 115,700
The advertisedsalary range relates to British Columbia and is provided in accordance with theBC Pay Transparency Act.
