POSITION SUMMARY The Risk Analyst will be the liaison working collaboratively with U.S Energy Commercial Trading, Accounting, and Information Technology. This role will assist traders by identifying problems, solving them, and taking preventative action.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs the following daily Trader support activities:
Runs Mark-To-Market
Trade Entry
Exchange for Physical Pricing/Posting
Transportation Tickets
Reconciles the daily P&L by book and P&L attributes and reviews with traders
- Prepares timely and accurate monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations of accounting and financial reports
- Troubleshoots system and trader issues
- Act as backup for Scheduling Inventory Movements
- Plays an active role on projects team to address business needs, gather requirements, and performs user acceptance testing
- Utilize computer skills to input, retrieve, organize or display risk and accounting information
- Serve as a resource for software development testing and implementation of upgrades
- Periodic travel may be necessary
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Math/Data Analytics or related field (or equivalent experience and education
Advanced knowledge of computer spreadsheets and accounting systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Acute attention to detail and deadlines
Above average evaluation and organization skills
A team player and effective written and oral communicator
Experience in banking or commodities trading environment a plus
