Position: R&I FACILITIES PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Clark, NJ 07066
Duration: 1 year contract (extension up to 24 months)
Reporting to the Campus Manager, the Project Manager will oversee multiple and or large/complex projects from planning & design through construction, start-up, move-in and closeout. The Project Manager will be expected to act as the primary point of authority and accountability for the project(s) assigned to them and will supervise the work and progress of various contractors. This requires the ability to build, lead, and manage multiple project teams, to create project plans, define project scope and establish budgets, and to solicit and synthesize input from end-users, departmental leadership, facilities staff, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
o Degree in Engineering is a preferred (Mechanical/ Chemical preferably) with previous experience in a manufacturing setting or facility management
o Strong project management skills (5 years), including developing project plans, forecasting and tracking budgets, monitoring and meeting milestones, time management
o Candidate must be highly organized with strong communication, and presentation skills and ability to work independently
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills, communication, presentation, and be detail oriented
o Proven ability to collaborate with teams, navigate complex topics and articulate complex topics simply to a range of audiences
o Able to own and drive projects from ideation to completion.
o Proficient in MS Office suite (preferably Power BI)
Responsibilities
• Provides specification and internal guidelines for projects and serves as project lead and partners with other departments including EHS
• Prepares bid specifications, scope definition, obtains cost estimates, and develops project budgets and estimates
• Develop and communicate project schedule and anticipate disruptions caused by infrastructure projects with all project stakeholders. Re-evaluate and adjust schedules and project sequences to accommodate the maximum use of facilities by others
• Establishes, updates, and balances project budgets and schedules, monitors, and reconciles expenditures, administers contracts, and approves project-related invoices within budget.
• Assists or acts on behalf to Campus Manager in presentations to senior leadership regarding capital expenditure projects
• Supports Campus Manager on Sustainability efforts for the execution of a roadmap to achieve carbon, water, and waste reduction goals for R&I and
• Day to day management of contractors
• After commissioning and start up, ensures document control, trainings, and transfer of ownership
