Job Description
RFP Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) regarding SCC’s licensed products. Works closely with SCC Legal Counsel, Sales Support Department, Telemarketing Support Department, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Program Managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all actions required to successfully process an RFI/RFP, including creation of a TMS Task, logging the RFP/RFI in the workload SmartSheet and doing a preliminary review of the document to determine special requirements, assignment of appropriate responders.
- Posts the response documents on MS Teams for response coordination and collaboration. Notifies all required responders of the location of the response document(s), and the timeline for the responses.
- Works with Sales Dept. to determine what licensed software in being proposed and ensure that a cost proposal is generated.
- If time permits, assists with the actual responses by inserting standard text from the library into the response document on MS Teams. Identify items required for attachment and enclosure. Identify configuration-dependent functionality
- Performs primary review of the response document(s), checking for spelling, grammar, correctly labeled attachments and completing all text responses.
- Performs or assists with the desktop publishing for completion according to the instructions in the RFP/RFI.
- Perform timely and professional communication/messaging for E and C level executives relating to RFP conditions and scenarios as needed
- Assists in updating RFP library
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Sciences field or equivalent. Relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 2-years’ experience in the RFP, technical writing, or similar space. familiar with SCC Systems or Clinical laboratory experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro and able to quickly master internal systems and applications.
