How You'll Help Us Connect the World
As an RF/Antenna Intern, you will be responsible for system- and board-level design, testing and debugging of RF and Antenna subcircuits of WLAN Access Points as part of Ruckus Wireless. You will work closely with the broader Engineering team, consisting of Electrical, Mechanical and Software Engineers to enhance the success of Ruckus WLAN products. This role will be based in Sunnyvale, California.
You Will Make an Impact By
- Designing, testing, and debugging RF and Antenna aspects of 802.11 wireless Access Point up to 7.125GHz.
- Selecting components, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters and discrete components. Work with purchasing to consider pricing.
- Working with Board level bring-up, tuning and testing of RF and antenna circuits.
- Simulating critical circuit performance.
- Working on schematic capture of RF portion of design.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master's degree in Electrical engineering or other relevant field from an accredited university
- Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Solid understanding of RF electronics fundamentals.
- Familiarity with RF simulation tools.
- Ability to debug system-level noise issues.
- Ability to write and implement test plans.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

- Have experience with WiFi.
- Have worked with lab equipment like Network Analyzer, Antenna test chamber etc.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

- Are able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
- Possess strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
- Have a strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Have experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
