What will I be doing?
This
Revenue Manager
role will assist the Revenue Department in monitoring, managing and maintaining group and transient inventories to ensure the optimization of demand and availability for Houston's largest hotel (1207 rooms). Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage assigned revenue projects from the Director of Revenue Management and the Director of Group Optimization and monitor group and transient business thresholds to ensure measurable improvements in RM Key Performance Indicators.
- Review GRO (Global Revenue Optimization) system and all pricing on a consistent basis and identify selling strategies and market trends.
- Daily review and implementation of rate inventory controls in OnQ Rates & Inventory and GRO (Global Revenue Optimization) systems.
- Strategic analysis of citywide, sporting & high demand events vs competitive set.
- Maintain historical data on events and performance of these demand-generating events.
- Lead Group Pickup meeting and ensure group inventory and cut-off dates are managed appropriately.
- Work with Director of Front Office to ensure that sellout strategies are in place.
- Attend and participate in meetings including: Commercial Strategy, Operations, and Daily Business Review.
- Review end of month rooms' statistics reports including FMS, Demand360, STAR, and Key Hotel Marketing Reports, and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results.
- Conduct displacement analysis of group business, as needed, to determine impact potential business will have on RevPAR. Review all tentative and definite group bookings, to ensure that they support implemented strategies.
- Be a part of the team to prepare all Weekly, Monthly, Rolling Forecasts and Annual Budget using GRO, Excel, OnQ FMS, Delphi FDC, and OnQ PMS.
- Be a part of a team that strategizes future issues such as booking pace, pricing, marketing opportunities and the competitive environment.
