Job Description:

This Associate Revenue Management Analyst analyzes market performance and demand forecasting in order to identify opportunities for revenue growth in their assigned markets. This Associate Analyst joins the Yield Management Team within our Revenue Management Department, and they’ll work collaboratively with counterparts on the Pricing Team to determine seat price points—taking holidays, special events , and normal travel times into account. This role will learn from more tenured Cohearts and have opportunities to develop their skills as they learn. This role utilizes Microsoft Excel functions, delivers well-written post-analysis on their assigned markets to Leaders, and works to maximize revenue. The Associate Analyst is detail-oriented, an innovative thinker, and they’re excited to join an impactful Team that will support them in learning and growing each day . This role will help pilot the future of Southwest Airlines!

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work at a Company facility at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Job Summary
Provides the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of Southwest’s Revenue Management, develop experience in root cause analysis, and build on Yield and Pricing best practices. Analyzes revenue results, compares and analyzes actuals versus forecast, and prior year to determine revenue opportunities. Identifies trends, monitors competitive environment and takes actions to improve pricing and inventory position. Responsible for maximizing passenger revenue in assigned markets of up to $500M annually .
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze market performance and forecast to identify revenue opportunities
Maintain and adjust market pricing and inventory position to improve revenue
Analyze forward-looking demand trends in assigned markets and cities
Deliver well-written post-analysis on assigned markets as requested by leaders
Identify outliers in forecasting system and make appropriate actions
Collaborate with team in managing holidays and special events; conduct and present analysis on revenue performance within market scope
Maintain analysis utilizing Excel functions including, but not limited to: pivot tables, formulas, lookups
Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to maximize revenue
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Entry level experience, developing skills and knowledge in:
Analytics
Quantitative analysis
Licensing/Certification

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $60,050 per year to $66,700 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
