Position Overview
The Revenue Cycle Payment Specialist is responsible for maintaining up-to-date records and inputting data into the appropriate files.
Responsibilities
The Payment Specialist will perform duties including, but not limited to:
- Perform all work in a manner consistent with National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and philosophies.
- Collect and organizes data required for maintaining client and payer records.
- Opens and sorts all department mail.
- Responsible for processing checks and routing them to their proper folders.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of all incoming payments.
- Purges specified data files and logs as required; makes individual and/or mass corrections, modifications, and/or updates to data files, as appropriate.
- Coordinates transfer of necessary files to appropriate billing specialist.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of client's records.
- Participates in Agency training as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
