What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to drive Exceptional Outcomes, Personally Delivered.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


The key duties and responsibilities of the Director of Revenue Cycle, but are not limited to:


  • Manage all Revenue Cycle teams at the corporate office, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Proliance Surgeons leadership to establish or update policies and procedures relevant to Revenue Cycle processes, systems, and tools.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction, offering support to care centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) on billing and collection activities.
  • Foster effective communication and build strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout Proliance Surgeons.
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures regarding patient payment and third-party reimbursement guidelines, including collection policies.
  • Incorporate best management practices to achieve goals and improve billing and collection policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Revenue Cycle policies and procedures at all sites within the organization.
  • Maximize net patient revenues while maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Assist with addressing patient complaints in a customer service-oriented manner when necessary.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports, and contribute to the development of other Revenue Cycle personnel.
  • Collaborate with care center and corporate office leadership to establish and monitor metrics for assessing and providing feedback on all aspects of Proliance's Revenue Cycle functions.
  • Identify, establish, and evaluate quality assurance standards and procedures within the department, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing office functions.
  • Schedule, assign, and prioritize department workload, setting appropriate deadlines and reviewing employee performance to ensure timely completion of Revenue Cycle work.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance on performance to employees in a professional manner.
  • Orient, train, and coordinate staff work assignments to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and upper management.
  • Document concerns and work toward resolving root causes.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines and legal regulations relevant to the position.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities


  • Seven (7) years of direct healthcare financial management experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a medical office and ambulatory surgery center practice setting, focusing on billing and collections.
  • AAPC certified professional coding and/or certified through AHIMA.
  • Comprehensive understanding and in-depth working knowledge of the healthcare Revenue Cycle.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare billing and collection regulations, with the ability to educate others and implement new regulations as necessary.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Experience with NextGen, Amkai, or other medical billing software.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate accurately and concisely to various audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to establish and monitor performance/productivity standards.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational information to facilitate decision-making.
  • Previous experience at Proliance Surgeons preferred.

Work is performed in an office environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to talk or hear. The teammate must be able to stand, walk, squat and lift training room equipment when necessary. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. When training, standing may be required for several hours at a time. Must be able to travel to various sites within Proliance surgeons. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
