Form of work ZoomInfo is looking for a hardworking and dynamic Revenue Accountant to work on the Revenue Accounting Team within our high-growth company. The candidate must demonstrate strong initiative, ownership, passion as well as excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
The Revenue Staff Accountant will assist in revenue and commissions related reporting, quote/contract review and will take part in the month end close cycle.
We are looking for a candidate with strong academic experience in accounting and entry level knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 340.
Key Essential Functions:
* Assist with reviewing quotes and contracts for non-standard contract terms and revenue impacts
* Assist in accurate treatment, tracking and reporting of commissions
* Perform month end close activities related to both revenue and commissions
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare month end revenue reports
* Assist with revenue team projects and process improvements
* Assist with interim and annual audits
* Prepare journal entries
* Ad Hoc projects
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent accounting-related work experience
* Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles
* Two (2) years+ revenue cycle experience
* Must be a problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills
* Excellent analytic, written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent relationship and team building skills
* Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel) with experience in SalesForce and ERP systems such as SAP and Netsuite
* Preferred. Familiarity with ASC606 and SOX compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
* Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles
* Excellent analytic, written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent relationship building skills
* Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
* Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills and concepts
