- This assistant will report to the Retort Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them.
- Creating shelf stable product for our valued customers.
- Pressure cooking product for commercial sterilization
- Load and unload baskets into retort machine
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Assist in cooking process as needed under supervision of Retort Supervisor Assist in verifying retort process by completing paperwork required for filing.
- Other duties as assigned, includes assisting in various production areas on an as needed basis.
- Must be able to read and understand technical instructions
- Detail orientated person required for this position Ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Capable of lifting/pushing 40+ lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Must always wear personal protective equipment
- Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
