PCG is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Analyst for its Corporate Compensation and Benefits  department operations based in Lenexa, KS. The Retirement Plan Analyst plays a crucial role in the effective management of PCG’s sponsored retirement programs, overseeing the PCG Employee Stock Ownership and 401(k) Plan, Hourly employees’ 401(k) Plan, and the PCG Non-qualified deferred compensation program. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring compliance, providing employee guidance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Administration and Communication
    • Administer all corporate-sponsored retirement programs, manage the payroll deduction process, and ensure timely remittance of contributions.
    • Provide advice and counsel to employees on benefit-related matters in alignment with corporate policies.
  • Program Management
    • Manage and track eligibility for each retirement program, communicate eligible benefits to employees, manage elections, and process contributions.
    • Manage relationships as primary contact with vendors such as outside ERISA counsel, Investment Advisors, and recordkeepers.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with IRS, EBSA, and ERISA requirements.
  • Compliance and Knowledge Management
    • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and industry trends.
    • Manage compliance testing and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Reporting and Auditing
    • Manage year-end reporting of 5500s and oversee auditing processes of each Retirement Plan.
    • Manage various annual PCG stock transactions including the internal market purchases and sales of PCG stock, treasury buybacks, and identifying and analyzing ownership trends.
    • Manage the share voting process
  • Financial Forecasting
    • Manage forecasting repurchase obligations of PCG stock and cash-flow impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Support
    • Assist the benefits and payroll departments in other duties which may include administration of other fringe benefits, including health care, assistance in the annual reviews of bonus, compensation ranges, job creation, and annual review process, and resolving potential payroll tax issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

 


Basic Requirements:

  • At least 5 years working with qualified Retirement Plans
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
  • High proficency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • General knowledge of accounting practices and functions
  • Absolute discretion in handling highly confidential information

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in administration of 401(k) plans and Employee Stock Ownership Plans
  • Experience in management of shares in a closely held organization
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to creat and maintain complex spreadsheets
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to safety and quality standards

  • Self-motivated with a focus on improvement and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
