Job description

Role Title:Retirement Plan Analyst

Manager: Benefits Manager 

Manager-once-Removed: Director Comp & Benefits 

Location: Boston, MA

Knowledge and Experience: 

• Degree in business, finance, HR, or related field with 5+ years of HR Operations & Analysis experience

• Prior vendor management experience including Unions Third Party Administrators/Trusts

• Strong knowledge of retirement benefits inclusive of multi-employer plans. 

• Compliance knowledge inclusive of 5500’s, NDT,  audits and plan documentation

• Preferred working knowledge of UKG and PSW

• Experience with interface files and data flow audits

Skills: 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP and formulas).

• Requires strong communication, customer services and analytical skills. 

• Organizational skills

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations in computing adjustments.

• Must be a problem-solver.

• Being able to work in a face-paced environment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Accountable for Keolis’s US  Retirement Plans operations, working with the plan administrator(s) to provide operational support for contributions, distributions, plan amendments, regulatory compliance reporting and filings, annual audits and testing, participant support and troubleshooting any issues.

• Ensures Retirement Plans are administered in accordance with company, Union CBA’s, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

• Maintains knowledge and application of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits.

• Reviews relevant information and documentation for plan participants and beneficiaries and facilitates distribution when necessary. 

• Works with plan administrator and consultants to design and implement informational meetings and materials to facilitate participant understanding of Keolis retirement programs.

• Identifies ways to encourage enhanced participation in the plans provided.

• In conjunction with plan administrator and consultants, periodically evaluates the plan’s investment options and makes recommendations on plan design changes.

• Participate in Retirement Steering Committee meetings.

• Other duties as assigned.

Non-Qualified Plan

• Working with Vendor partner assist with the implementation of Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan

• Assist with communicating to and educating plan participants about the plan.

• Assist vendor partner with annual enrollment process.

Reporting and Auditing 

• Runs monthly Audits to ensure systems are in sync.

• Works with Payroll to ensure required Union pension payments are made and updated as needed per CBA requirements.

• Responsible for implementing set up of any new Union 401K and pension plans with new mobilizations.

• Responsible for the end to end stet up of any changes needed to current company 401K plan with assistance from payroll HRIS and vendor partners. 

• Prepares and submits mandatory reporting requirements.

• Monitors participant data and contribution levels and provides reporting metrics for dashboard.

• Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.
