Retirement and Investment Associate Consultant

Position Overview:

We are looking for an energetic, positive person to join the Marsh & McLennan Agency – New England Retirement Services Team. Reporting to a Managing Consultant of the Retirement Services team, this position will support a team of Consultants in all aspects of servicing existing Retirement Services clients. In this position, the individual will gain a strong foundation of all aspects of the retirement business equipping them to grow within the practice and Marsh & McLennan Agency. The ideal candidate would be someone who is a self-starter, motivated to succeed and adaptable to change; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where the client is the focus and delivering outstanding service is the priority.

A day in the life.

Support MMA Retirement Services team with the delivery of services. Work with producers and consultants to help them improve client interactions and engagements.

New Business On-Boarding:

• Establish client and plan in MMA’s systems – Salesforce, Envestnet, PlanTools, etc.

  • Enter plan related contacts (i.e. plan sponsor, vendor, MMA, etc.)

  • Enter plan fee details, upload imaged copy of Services Agreement

• Request client related documents and load into appropriate internal systems

Investment Support:

• Coordinate quarterly feeds/updates of plan data into internal systems

• Update quarterly target date / stable value fact sheets

• Assist consultants with the preparation of client investment monitoring report

Consultant Support:

• Preparation of materials for client meetings

• Coordination of plan investment changes

• Creation and updating of client executive summaries

• Assistance with preparing and delivery of client RFP and benchmarking materials

• Respond efficiently to requests from internal and external contacts via phone & email communications

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports

• Interact effectively with service providers and other external contacts

Team Support:

• Assist Provider and Investment Committees with the maintenance of committee documentation

• A college degree or professional certification

• Proficient to advanced Excel skills; ability to utilize arithmetic formulas, upload spreadsheets, and import/export data

• Strong critical thinking skills

• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage projects amidst competing deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
