As a Retail Support Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by:
1. Performance Excellence: Operations and Customer Experience Focus
- Elevating the pet parent guest experience to the highest levels by delivering training that, consistently reflects the unparalleled hospitality standards outlined in JFFD’s retail training program.
- Analyzing financial reports for each kitchen, pinpointing production opportunities, and strategizing training to meet or exceed company targets.
- Formulating data-driven action plans with our Kitchen and Pantry Teams, continuously tracking performance after training has been delivered and making adjustments as needed to achieve and surpass objectives.
- Occasionally train on or attend grassroots marketing strategies to heighten market awareness in each location.
2. Talent Development:
- Executing a comprehensive recruitment and training program for General Managers, Pantry Area Managers, Leads, and Cooks within the JFFD Retail environment.
- Serving as a motivator, coach, and catalyst for Kitchen and Pantry leadership teams to elevate the customer experience and surpass business goals.
3. Leadership and Cultural Ambassadorship:
- Engaging with all pets and their parents visiting our stores while fostering a welcoming and kind atmosphere.
- Embodying and exemplifying company values and protocols, setting a positive and inclusive culture standard within each store.
- Assuming a mentorship role, fostering a servant leadership mindset to inspire success among General Managers and Pantry Area Managers.
4. Collaborative Synergy:
- Engaging with support service contacts and all company departments to proactively resolve operational challenges, fostering collaboration that enhances guest experiences and operational efficiencies.
- Effectively communicating and guiding teams through organizational and company changes with a constructive approach.
5. Insightful Reporting and Communication:
- Delivering comprehensive recaps and performance reporting packages to the Regional General Managers and Chief Retail Officer.
- Ensuring clear and productive communication with cross-functional support roles and departments to drive positive impacts on guest experiences, business outcomes, and employee well-being.
Requirements :
- Ability to facilitate training in front of an audience of 5-35 people at a time.
- A love for dogs and canine nutrition and a desire to create the ultimate customer experience
- 3+ years of Direct Management or 3+ years of experience training teams’
- Ability to and motivate effective teams
- Clear, concise written and verbal communications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable and flexible with change - we are growing rapidly
- Ability to create and implement strong training programs
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, team building, can do attitude at all times and through adversity
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships through established strong communication regarding responsibilities, changes, and challenges as well as follow up
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities at one time
- Experience in the restaurant or retail industry is a plus
- Proficient on a Mac/PC with experience working in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- Ability and flexibility to travel in and outside of the territory as needed. This is a position that will require frequent travel.
- Reliable form of transportation on an as-needed basis
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
