A nonprofit organization dedicated to joyfully and mindfully use arts and culture to engage with our diverse community. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Time Retail Store and Exhibition Center Director to lead our talented team in delivering exceptional hospitality and unique experiences and contributing to our mission through strategic revenue generation. The purpose of the position is to oversee the activities related to the new Retail Store and Exhibition space and to strengthen online presence and e-commerce sales. Director will work closely and report directly to the President & CEO.

Responsibilities
· Develop and implement annual business plan: Prepare monthly progress updates for presentation and approval by the President & CEO. Communicate general updates to staff and personnel.
· Forecast annual revenue and develop annual expense budgets: With the support of the CFO, prepare monthly financial sales reports.
· Profit and Loss Management: Responsible for all aspects of departmental P&L.
· Coordinate vendor and cosigner relationships: Source and secure select merchandise for sale in partnership with the President and Culinary Programming Advisor.
· Coordinate promotable events: Cross department promotions that highlight products aligning with cultural exhibits and performances.
· Collaboration: Develop partnerships with like cultural institutions, artists and international vendors, for revenue generating and cultural exchange opportunities.
· E commerce: Develop and promote online sales site, including social media marketing and expansion.
· Management: Oversee personnel management of retail staff including hiring, training, and performance management.
· Purchasing and receiving: Oversee all accounts receivable and payable as well as physical inventory and Point of Sales accounting.
Qualifications:
· Minimum five years of retail and customer service, including three years of managerial experience or the equivalent.
· Experience in e commerce, online sales and marketing.
· Passion for hospitality and exceptional customer service.
· Strong financial acumen, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis skills.
· Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Systems proficiency in organizational, financial, point of sales, and customer relationship management programs. Shopify and Tessitura preferred.
· Flexibility and ability to meet physical and mental demands of the position.
· May require some travel and availability to work occasional weekends, evenings and holidays.
· High school diploma with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Familiarity with nonprofit organizational structures and practices a plus.
· Japanese language skills a plus.
