Retail Cashier/Keyholder
Guglhupf Bake Shop seeking an outgoing, customer service oriented employee to join our retail bakery team!
Responsibilities include taking bakery orders, answering phones, day to day shop operations, daily cleaning and upkeep of the shop.
The Ideal candidate must…
· Provide excellent customer service
· Support fellow team members in all aspects of daily bakery operations
· Assist in open and/or close the shop
· Help with merchandising, stocking, coffee preparation, and keeping the bakery looking nice and clean.
This person must be reliable, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic, able to self-direct as well as be a team player. Food retail or customer service experience preferred but having a great personality is the key. Barista experience is preferred but a love for coffee and a willingness to learn works as well.
Keyholders will be responsible for leading the shift as well as daily cash drops and updating waste log trackers.
We are looking for Fulltime as well as part time positions; some mornings, evening, weekend (Saturday AND Sunday) and holiday availability is MANDATORY.

Duties:
- Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations of the retail store
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Supervise and train retail staff, including conducting employee orientations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
- Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed effectively
- Set and enforce pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and reconciling cash drawers
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations
- Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales goals and strategies
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent cash handling skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of retail management principles and practices
- Ability to negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing terms
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, particularly if serving a diverse customer base
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
