The Consumer Technology experience - Continuous Improvement Team works to inspire a relentless improvement mindset into AT&T’s Customer experience culture, guiding an operating model that consistently improves value delivery, lead time, flow, and customer eccentricity.

About the Job:
An Agile Coach has many different responsibilities. The Agile Coach must educate employees at all levels, on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the best practices in their own work.
They provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies. The Agile Coach is responsible for guiding teams into the Agile methodology, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
They provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement.
This task entails implementing Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organization.
The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation. In order to do this, the Agile Coach must also embody the Agile principles and lead by example.
Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View:
Assist in navigating through real-world challenges and equip team members with the tools, mastery, and confidence to overcome any impediments and become a high-performing, predictable teams
Coordinate & partner with STE/RTE/SM, Agile teams and leadership to execute coaching plans and improve team performance and agile maturity
Focused on relentless improvement at all levels
Perform Maturity Assessments to identify improvement areas & create action plans to increase team agility
Work with the teams to help increase their maturity through coaching & lean process management that will help the teams work more efficiently & effectively
Attend periodically Scrum or Kanban ceremonies to provide coaching and guidance to help ensure efficient and effective team ceremonies
Work with teams on initial tool setup, tools training and compliance to help teams and provide guidance as needed
Provide training on processes and agile maturity practices, at all levels, to provide consistency across all team members
Provide coaching on planning process & help ensure the they have a successful planning session. Work with the teams to continue to monitor their overall progress on commitments and team velocity.
Retrospectives on processes and training to identify areas of improvement. Look at team retrospectives to see if there are common areas that could be addressed at a high level for improvement. For retrospective items tied to Agility, provides recommendations and champions closure working with right stakeholders
Ensuring Quality and Completeness of Value decomposition & coaching on best practices supporting Epic, Feature & User Story readiness techniques
Foster CI/CD pipeline maturity & advocate DevOps practices. Assist in training and coaching with TDD, BDD, XP and CI/CD pipeline focus on shortening lead time of deployments and releases; advocating quality built-in techniques.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be a self-starter, have excellent time management skills, executive presence and be able to partner across the organization at all levels of management
Strong Scaled Agile (SAFe) Knowledge
Prior experience coaching teams in Agile methodologies adoption
Interpersonal skills, teaching abilities, and a capacity to inspire and motivate
Desired Qualifications:
Strong leaders and advocates for the adoption of Agile
Be assertive about adherence to Agile processes and enthusiastic about Agile practices and their benefits.
SPC 6.0 Certification
Experience with CI/CD Pipeline
TDD/BDD Coaching experience
MS Office proficiency for Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with Jira, ADO, Planview and PowerBI
Our Lead Agile Coach earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
