Assists Lead Retail Associate with operations and customer service matters during peak and/or seasonal times.

1. Performs cash register functions
2. Assists with stocking and restocking sales floor and maintaining store displays
3. Assists with online order fulfillment processes and loss prevention
4. Provides customer assistance on sales floor and phone
5. Assists with item returns, shelving books, placing shelf tags, placing orders with vendors and assisting customers
6. Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of sales floor and backroom areas
7. Provides assistance at special sales and/or athletic events as needed
8. Assists with physical inventory

Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
None (On-the-job training provided)

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in retail, cashiering, customer service or order fulfillment

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Cashiering and money handling
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
