- Facilitate retail sales, including customer assistance and follow-up
- Encourage and reinforce customer decisions to increase average dollar sale and units sold per transaction
- Stock and maintain the appearance of sales floor and merchandise displays
- Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions
- Follow established regulations, guidelines and procedures related to the sale of alcohol and or tobacco
- Demonstrated money-handling and math skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate computerized cash register
- Must obtain and maintain a current State Responsible Vendor Permit
- Must obtain and maintain a current Parish Alcohol Beverage Control License
- These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 1-year experience directly related to the accountabilities specified or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
